The 3.6 metre (diagonal) Elport DZ-Wall screen, constructed from 48, high-brightness 19” TFT screens is designed to show full-screen video and individual images as well as merchandising messaging. Positioned facing out onto the busy Tottenham Court Road and visible all through the day and evening, the display provides continuous marketing of DVD releases and store offerings to the busy shopping crowd, including travellers entering the London Underground station on the Tottenham Court Road–Oxford Street corner.

This is the first large screen manufactured by Korean manufacturer Elport to be used in a UK retail environment. Uniquely it can receive multiple video and data feeds and process them internally for display in single and multi-image format at any desired size and position on the full screen. At a depth of just 87mm, the screen is positioned behind DVD shelves without encroaching onto the sales floor or taking up trading space.

Paul Wigley , Technical Director of Interactive View commented: “We have worked with Silverscreen for several years handling their in-store TV installations and the Elport DZ-Wall seemed an obvious choice when we were asked to propose a solution for an exterior-facing screen. It’s slim profile, high brightness and size makes it an ideal way of presenting new films and information and the flexibility and ease with which it handles multiple inputs means it is almost unlimited in the way it can be configured. An LED wall was considered as an option but just didn’t have the resolution required to display highly detailed video material.”

In order to maximise the development of the brand and draw focus we needed a high impact display to provide round-the-clock promotion of new material. It gets considerable attention, especially in the evening when people have more time to watch.”
